Priest River- is a small quiet town located at the junction of the Pend Oreille and Priest River far from the bustling of nearest big city-Spokane Washington 50 miles to the west.

Priest River is located on both the Panhandle Historic Rivers Passage and the International Selkirk Loop, www.selkirkloop.org, Priest River is in the middle of downhill and cross country skiing,boating, swimming, rafting, off roading, biking,hiking and a hunters paradise.

The population of Priest River is only 1,754 and the surrounding area-Bonner County is only 37,000.It's nestled in the Selkirk Mountains at 2,100 feet. The climate is pleasant with summer highs rarly above a dry 90 degrees followed by evenings in the 60's.Winters are usually mild with an average snowfall of 72 inches.

Priest River's airport has a 3000' lighted runway and is a short walk to town.

Logging has driven Priest River's economy for the past 100 years. One of the last log drives in the United States took place here in 1949.More recently light industry,tourism and baby boomer's seeking a quieter lifestyle have discovered us.
